Who We Are

Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Chameleon Stage is a playwrights' cooperative devoted to cultivating unique voices and fresh, powerful new work for the American theatre.

We are dedicated to the involvement of the stage writer as an integral part of the production process, and we encourage the growth and development of new plays and audiences for new work.

At our twice-monthly meetings we read, critique and discuss new work by member playwrights.  Local actors and directors are invited to these sessions to read the work and give input from their perspectives to the playwrights.  We then present these pieces at staged readings in the Spring and Fall.  Through this intensive peer review and reading process, works of the highest quality and originality are developed.
